Tame Game

Writer's picture: Tonito SolinasTonito Solinas

A single frame, yet so powerful.

A simple striking idea.

(The Teatre)

The dancers master space. They give in to chaos, but then they pick up the threads.

They explore lines, balance, curves, levels. With sensitivity and skills.

One cannot but admire the technical expertise in their construction of the scene.

[The Garden]

White lines section the stage and cage that nimble, fragile creature.

Freedom is forced into a tiny space. Movement is transformed into discouragement, immobility. Everything is reduced to a frame. But in that frame, we strip ourselves of everything and give ourselves to the world, Naked.

{⬛️}

Is the world ready to see us as we really are?

In a dynamic game of self-determination and censorship, the scene fills the audience with joy and lightness.

A wonderful solo dedicated to each of us, free and overwhelmed at the same time, before a final embrace.

Or is it yet another conflict?

***

Tame Game is a valuable little piece of art.
